As a retailer I have had to look into being able to be PCI DSS card payments compliant.  I want to make sure that I will be able to continue accepting credit cards and debit cards into the future.  Being able to process PCI DSS card payments is paramount to the future of my business therefore it is unavoidable.

If you are not able to remain PCI compliant it is possible that you will no longer be able to accept payments by card.  This could be very damaging especially as more people are using cards for everyday transactions.  The reason for this is that it is a simple process that is secure and fast.  It helps to keep simply bank records and is beneficial to shop owners like myself too.

Are you PCI DSS Card Payments Compliant?

My merchant services provider explained that I would need to accept PCI DSS card payments in order to continue trading like I do.  Thankfully I was able to continue using the same company who I have my credit card terminals through.  They are affordable and offer an excellent service.
